Here is a photo of a sword-dagger pair made in the mid 1980s. The blades
are D-2 tool steel, all other sword and scabbard furniture is stainless
steel. Both handles and scabbards are wrapped in twisted stainless steel
wire. The blades are about .170 inch thick at the double spines. The weight
is about 2.0 and 1.0 pounds. This uses the modified Japanese tang style,
with steel toggle and pommel screw. They are signed and numbered
on the tang to preserve purity of form. The photo was taken by Jim Weyer.
