Here is a photo of a sword named "Galatine". The blade is D-2 tool steel,
all other sword and scabbard furniture is stainless steel. The seven pointed
star ornament on the heart-shaped pommel is laminated O-1 and 308 Stainless.
Both handle and scabbard are wrapped in twisted stainless steel wire. The
blades is about .170 inch thick at the spine. This uses the modified
Japanese tang style, with steel toggle and pommel screw. It is signed
and numbered on the tang to preserve purity of form. The photo was taken
by Jon Verhoeven.
