Here is a photo of a dagger made about 1983, shown both assembled,
and broken down for inspection. The blade is 7" long (from the guard) D-2
tool steel, the habaki is lost-wax cast from sterling silver. The guard
abd pommel are heat-treated D-2 steel. The collars and wire-wrapping over
the ash-wood handle is stainless steel. This piece uses a modified Japanese
tang style, keywayed and hard-soldered socket and stainless pommel screw.
It is signed and signed and numbered on the tang to preserve purity of
form. The photo was taken by Jon Verhoeven.
