Here is a photo of a  custom made Sword named “Grayswandir” made for a discerning client. The blade is D-2 tool steel, all other sword and scabbard furniture is stainless steel. The handle is hickory wrapped in twisted stainless steel wire. The scabbard is covered in black leather. The 26 inch blade is about .200 inch thick.

The overall weight is about 2 pounds. This sword uses a modified Japanese toggle-tang style construction, steel toggle and pommel screw. As with all Maringer Swords it is signed and numbered on the extra-wide tang to preserve visual purity of form.
