Black Skull of Crom Coin
Crom, Count the Dead!
This blackened coin was made to pay homage to the Cimmerian diety, Crom, whose chief function is to count the dead in battle. Crom watches and judges all, and it may be better to avoid his attention, as he likely brings trouble and doom. The use of Crom's name as a curse identifies Conan as a Cimmerian. The obverse of this coin bears a skull, while the reverse depicts a stylized vulture and the inscription, "Crom Counts the Dead" inscribed in Icelandic Elder Futhark runes.
This Black Skull of Crom from the world of Robert E. Howard is struck from solid nickel bronze, measures 2.4 cm in diameter, and weighs about 4.7 grams. Coin artwork by Woody Maringer.
The product is treated to look as if it has been handled and circulated. This process is done by hand, and it is both an art and a science, coloring and patinas will vary. No two are exactly the same! Coins are struck one at a time in the USA using antique machinery and traditional coining techniques. A colorful description is included with history and facts about the coins.

These runes are Anglo-Frisian Futhorc, not Icelandic Elder Futhark. I don't think Icelanders even used Elder Futhark, they would've used Younger Futhark and Futhork.
And I don't know much about Icelandic, but I have it on good authority that the grammar is messed up on this product.
I'm not a coin collector but got this for a project I'm working on and it's perfect! The thoughtfulness and care that went into the packaging is among the best I've seen. Amazing service!
There are two reasons I like this coin:
1.) It has a skull. What more can you ask for? I know: the morbid "Crom counts the dead" runes. Perfect for getting people to leave you alone!
2.) The design is very versatile. Sure, it is intended as a Conan coin, but it has that gritty pseudo-medieval feel that makes it perfect for a gaming token (which is my intended use).
For any prospective buyers: the size comparison is on point. It is ever-so-slightly smaller than a quarter and almost imperceptibly lighter.
Th Black Skull of Crom is a neat little artifact from Conan the Barbarian. It looks like something you would find in that world. The patina on it is especially nice, giving it a used look.
My second purchase from them, great stuff.
