The coloring/patina process is done by hand, and it is both an art and a science so coins will vary slightly. Coins are struck one at a time in the USA using antique machinery and traditional coining techniques.

Moon Landing Silver Coin with Boot Print - Apollo 11 is a great coin to have in the collection with all other Moon coins from Shire Post Mint. I will looking forward to buy new interesting products from Shire Post Mint
While it seems like there are always more options, my moon coin collection is now COMPLETE! This thing is awesome. The boot print completes the coin and the display packaging for this limited edition item is great! I plan on handing this thing down to my children!
Shire Post Mint makes quality products, of that there is no doubt. This, however, is truly a generational heirloom item. The limited quantity, the ability to request a number (not that it's necessarily possible to receive the requested number every time), and the presentation of this historically significant coin make it something to be appreciated for generations. I was able to request the number corresponding to my son's birthday year on the condition that I wait a bit longer until an engraving run was made. Absolutely worth it. We're too swept up in the immediate gratification culture as it is. Good things are worth the wait.
This is a wonderful coin to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing! The coin looks great and the acrylic display looks nice. I am glad I purchased it.
