Peach Silver Brothel Token
Everyone Wants Something...
The Peach is a brothel in Stoney Sept of the Southern Riverlands. The tokens used on the premises are thought to have been struck by private arrangement at the Oldtown Mint. Such tokens would be purchased from the management of the establishment to gain admittance, and then tendered to the courtesan of choice. Seldom seen outside the establishment, they were sometimes gifted to young inexperienced men on their sixteenth name-day.
This Peach Silver Brothel Token from the world of George R. R. Martin is struck from solid .999 silver, measures 2.1 cm in diameter, and weighs about 3.3 grams, or 1/10 of a troy ounce. Coin artwork by Greg Franck-Weiby.
Coins are struck one at a time in the USA using antique machinery and traditional coining techniques. A colorful description is included with history and facts about the coin.
