Rivendell™ Copper Moon
An Elvish Moon of Rivendell
This unique Elvish coin from Rivendell, or Imladris in Sindarin, is shaped like a crescent moon. It depicts the Rivendell valley, flanked by waterfalls, containing the ancient trees of silver and gold and the three Silmarils, represented as stars. The text in Tengwar translates from Sindarin to "Elrond Peredhil, Lord of Rivendell, The Last Homely House East of the Sea" and includes the date, TA 2941, the year that Thorin and Company meet Elrond at Rivendell before continuing on to The Lonely Mountain.
This Rivendell™ Copper Moon from the world of J. R. R. Tolkien is struck from solid Copper, measures 3.17 cm in diameter, and weighs about 6.1 grams. Coin artwork by Dylan Craig and Woody Maringer.
Coins are struck one at a time in the USA using antique machinery and traditional coining techniques. A colorful description is included with history, translations, and facts about the coins.
