Aztec Sun Stone Calendar - Copper Worry Coin
A pocket-sized artifact...
- Solid Copper - 32 g
- 1.52 in (3.9 cm) diameter
- antiqued patina
This coin is engraved after the Aztec Sun Stone, a representation of the five eras of the sun from Aztec mythology. After the Spanish conquest, the monolithic sculpture was buried in the Zócalo, the main square of Mexico City. It was rediscovered on 17, December 1790 during repairs on the Mexico City Cathedral.
This heavy copper worry stone feels good in the hand and the pocket. The thick copper coin blank is pre-tumbled before minting for a smooth edge and then given an antiqued finish.
Each Sun Stone coin comes in its own wax-sealed packaging with facts about the art of the Sun Stone, a substantial artifact that gives us a better understanding of the historically significant Aztec peoples.

A solid coin with a very wonderful and intricate design. It quickly became one of my favorites. Thank you!
This Aztec Sun Stone coin has a good heft and a clear impression from stamping on both sides. An interesting design and nice to handle.
This was my first Shire Point coin. The day I got it I ordered the Black Iron Krampus Decision Maker Coin. The next day I ordered a Brass Super Harvest Moon Coin and a Copper Super Blood Moon Coin. The coolest designs, amazing quality and super fast shipping. Get you some coins! 👊🏻
Love this coin, the weight, thickness and craftsmanship makes you think it’s centuries old. Love to carry around in my pocket
Great just as I expected.
