Dejah Thoris Silver Ten Pi - John Carter of Mars

A Princess of Mars

The coin features inscriptions in the mysterious linear-b hieroglyphic syllabary. The obverse roughly translates to, "Dejah Thoris, King-daughter" while the reverse comes out to, "So much 10 silver, Barsoom."

Dejah Thoris Silver Ten Pi - John Carter of Mars

Love It

I was expecting good things from the coin itself, and I was not disappointed. What surprised me the most was actually what came with the coin. A wax seal on the old-style letter that just oozes with personality. A card that gives wonderful detail about the coin and a nice little quote packaged with the coin itself.

In the end, the letter the coin came in is also on display with the coin itself. Now I only wish a copper and gold Pi coin were sold so I could have those, too.

Looks great

Seems to appear more nickel than silver but I've not removed it from the package. Says silver so I'm taking it to be honest. Either way it's a nice coin.

John Carter of Mars

Edgar Rice Burroughs' Martian series has been on my reading list for a long while. When I get to it, I'm looking forward to having a tangible piece of the tale with this coin.
