Aquilonian Set of Eight Gaming Coins

King Conan™

Into this world strides Conan, a barbarian of cold Cimmeria who travels far and wide, fighting and wenching his way across the world for decades, eventually finding himself crowned king of storied Aquilonia. These coins are from King Conan's coffers. This gaming set includes three larger brass 5p coins and five smaller copper 1p coins from Aquilonia. Both feature King Conan on the obverse and daggers on the reverse to symbolize the denomination. Text is Basque Euskara inscribed in Phapian, an ancient Minoan script.

The coins in this set from the world of Robert E. Howard are struck from solid brass and copper, measure 2 to 2.6 cm in diameter, and weigh 2.7 to 5.8 grams. Coin artwork by Woody Maringer.

The set contains coins treated to look as if they have been handled and circulated within their world. This process is done by hand, and it is both an art and a science. Coloring and patinas will vary. No two sets are exactly the same! Coins are struck one at a time in the USA using antique machinery and traditional coining techniques. A colorful description is included with history and facts about the coins.

Crom, I have never written you a review before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember what coins we purchased. Why we bought, or what we buy. All that matters is that we were delivered a fine, quality product. That's what's important! Quality pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me more coins! And if you do not listen to my review, then to HELL with you!

(In all seriousness, these coins are amazing! Great work! 10 out of 10, WILL buy again!)
