Jim Henson's Labyrinth License Announcement
Shire Post Mint is ecstatic to announce that we have licensed with The Jim Henson Company™ to bring you coins, wax seal designs, and wearable coins from Labyrinth™, the 1986 cult classic starring Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie. In 2021, Labyrinth celebrates its 35th Anniversary.
As lifelong fans of the film, we couldn't be happier to explore and expand the world crafted by some of the most talented creators such as Jim Henson, Brian Froud, Terry Jones and a host of puppeteers and builders.
To celebrate our launch, we are releasing a Should You Need Us design as a Bronze Friendship Token, a Wax Seal Coin Set of 2, and a Necklace.
Each option features a portrait of Ludo, Hoggle, Sir Didymus, and Ambrosius together, engraved by Mintmaster Woody Maringer. The "Should You Need Us" text side was designed by Alexis Lampley and engraved by Warren Smith.
This token has many uses. It can be a talisman to invoke ancestral protection or a touchstone to lend us strength. It can be a reminder of how connected we are to those we love, even when we cannot be near each other. A reminder of those who mean the most to us, or a friendship across space and time.
