Festival 2025 Announcement - Rain Date Active! November 8

Greetings from the crew at the Shire Post Mint!

The time has come to announce our Fourth Annual festival: please join us for a celebratory day to feature artworks, local vendors of goods ranging from candles to pottery to jewelry, games and activities, food and drinks, crafts, live music, costumes, and tours inside our magical workshop.

Details about a costume contest and a vendor list are TBA.

This annual festival started as a backyard Bilbo Baggins' Birthday party hosted by Tom Maringer and family many years ago. In the spirit of the hobbit tradition, most of the activities as well as admission are free of charge, and we do welcome all comers to enjoy our community.

This is a family event. Please keep dogs on a leash and clean up after them, and please keep an eye on your kids. There will not be car traffic within the festival during open hours but it's not fenced on all sides. Weaponry should be limited to costume only - no guns or knives.

We are looking forward to seeing many new and returning faces!
