100 Years After the Defeat of the Tyrant

"So snow comes after fire and even dragons have their ending!" This large coin, struck in brass, was minted 100 years after Bard the Bowman killed the tyrant Smaug. The coin shows a masterfully engraved scene with the archer and the dragon above a burning building. On the reverse is The Lonely Mountain and the town of New Dale that Bard helped to establish. The engraver spent an incredible 340 hours creating the intricate images. The text is inscribed in Tengwar.

This coin rules! My favorite Shire Post coin yet! Great details on both sides of the coin and I love the weight! This thing is big and chunky and feels awesome in my pocket. Seriously this thing is thick! I am totally becoming addicted to Shire Post Mint’s coins!
