The Hobbit™ Set #9 - The Shire Four Silver Two Shillings
THE SHIRE™ Silver Two Shillings
Four Two Shillings from The Shire struck in 1/4 troy ounce of .999 pure silver. Each denomination of Shire coinage has 4 variations featuring different trees. This four tree group contains all four possible trees: pine, elm, willow, and oak. Coin text is inscribed in Tengwar.
The coins in this set from the world of J. R. R. Tolkien are struck from solid .999 silver, measure 2.9 cm in diameter, and weigh 8.3 grams, or 1/4 of a troy ounce.
Designed and engraved by Greg Franck-Weiby. Learn more about our artists.
The set contains coins treated to look as if they have been handled and circulated within their world. This process is done by hand, and it is both an art and a science. Coloring and patinas will vary. No two sets are exactly the same! Coins are struck one at a time in the USA using antique machinery and traditional coining techniques. A colorful description is included with history, translations, and facts about the coins.

I couldn’t be happier about your products. The way you present them with the package and wax seal makes it all the better.
Received promptly as advertised.
Probably some of my favorite coins and I own a lot. They are a really nice size and weight. Everyone is just a little different and they all look amazing. The four crossed trees is a really neat look and you won't be disappointed.
These coins are absolutely beautiful! The markings are very crisp and I love the "aged/handled" look. If only our modern currency was this elegant.
