Memento Mori / Memento Vivere Reminder Bronze Coin

Solid Bronze Coin

There is a long history of Memento Mori reminders, including coins. We have added our own spin on the concept and included a new reverse side, “Memento Vivere” which translates to “remember that you have to live.” We believe there is a beautiful balance between accepting mortality and embracing life.

Memento mori (Latin: "Remember that you have to die.") is the medieval Latin Christian theory and practice of reflection on mortality. Especially as a means of considering the vanity of earthly life and the transient nature of all earthly goods and pursuits.

Memento vivere (Latin: "Remember you have to live.") Know that your time is short in the grand scheme of things. So have fun while you are here.

Another Amazing Coin

The bronze is gorgeous! The color and feel are top notch!

Bronze is best yet

Memento mori is my favourite design and I have this in brass and copper too. Bronze is the best yet. It has the best clarity and definition to my eyes. I’d very much recommend this coin and in this metal.

A nice reminder of life's duality

I've seen different memento mori coins, but I really liked that this version has the reminder that life is both short but also to be lived. I grew up in Arizona, and I love that the memento vivere skull has some decorations reminiscent of a Dia de los Muertos sugar skull. It's a nice touch on a coin that has a nice weight and look. Great for carrying in a pocket or displaying on my desk.

Another edition of the Memento Mori coin

These tokens just have such character. There are flashier versions of this, but this coin is a great way to start collecting these if you have not already started.

Thanks for your support!

Bronze is great

Very nice coin. Unlike the brass version which slowly wore down from handling, the bronze model retains its detail much clearer, and due to being bronze, is more resistant to damage overall.
