Rivendell™ Silver Moon Necklace
A Silver Moon of Rivendell
This unique Elvish coin from Rivendell, or Imladris in Sindarin, is shaped like a crescent moon. It depicts the Rivendell valley, flanked by waterfalls, containing the ancient trees of silver and gold and the three Silmarils, represented as stars. The text in Tengwar translates from Sindarin to "Elrond Peredhil, Lord of Rivendell, The Last Homely House East of the Sea" and the date, TA 2941, the year that Thorin and Company meet Elrond at Rivendell before continuing on to The Lonely Mountain.
This Rivendell Silver Moon Necklace from the world of J. R. R. Tolkien is struck from solid .999 silver, measures 3.17 cm in diameter, and weighs about grams. Coin artwork by Dylan Craig and Woody Maringer.
Coins are struck one at a time in the USA using antique machinery and traditional coining techniques. A colorful description is included with history, translations, and facts about the coins.

I am relatively new to wearing necklaces, and am a huge LoTR fan, so this was a natural fit. The item is sturdy and has a satisfying heft to it, in addition to being beautiful without being overtly feminine. The only drawback is that the chain is much too long for my liking, so I had to remove a few inches to get it where I wanted it.
Beautiful, with subtle etchings and a strong matching chain which is a good length for it. So shiny, not too big nor too small. Now the only question is when do we get a yellow gold version in necklace form with matching chain? 😁
Wife & I are both huge Tolkien fans so I wanted to get something special for our 23rd Anniversary. She was very pleased with the necklace.
It was a long wait in the UK (nobody's fault other than Covid 19!) but it was absolutely worth the wait. Love everything about it, the coin is beautiful and so well made, the packaging is gorgeous and it really felt like it came from another realm. As a hard-core Tolkien fan this is a real treasure - thank you so much!
High Quality. Thin necklace perfect for my wife's neck. She loves it.
