Rivendell™ Silver Moon Necklace

A shining moon of Rivendell

  • 7 grams of solid .999 fine silver
  • 1.25 in (3.17 cm) diameter at the longest points.
  • 30" steel chain included.

This unique crescent moon coin comes from Rivendell (Imladris in Sindarin), during the rule of Elrond™. It depicts the Rivendell valley, flanked by waterfalls, containing the ancient trees of silver and gold and the three Silmarils, represented as stars.

On the reverse, the Sindarin text inscribed in Tengwar reads, “Elrond Halfelven, Lord of Rivendell and of the Last Homely House East of the Sea, 2941”. TA 2941 is the year that Thorin Oakenshield™ and company meet Elrond at Rivendell before continuing on to The Lonely Mountain.

The coins are struck in varying metals to distinguish their denominations. The Copper Moon is the smallest denomination, followed by the Silver Moon, and the Golden Moon. The Mithril Moon is the largest denomination, worth ten times as much as the Golden Moon.

Very nice

The necklace is beautiful and weighty, it looks exactly as pictured and comes with some pretty cool unique packaging. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a gift for their nerd mom like I was 8)

Thanks for your support! We love nerd moms!

beautiful piece

This moon necklace is so pretty! The chain is beautiful, and quite lightweight, but the moon itself has a nice weight to it, the design is different on each side! if you're a fan of Tolkien, you'll love this necklace!!!

Rivendell™ Silver Moon Necklace

I am relatively new to wearing necklaces, and am a huge LoTR fan, so this was a natural fit. The item is sturdy and has a satisfying heft to it, in addition to being beautiful without being overtly feminine. The only drawback is that the chain is much too long for my liking, so I had to remove a few inches to get it where I wanted it.

Rivendell Silver Moon Necklace

Beautiful, with subtle etchings and a strong matching chain which is a good length for it. So shiny, not too big nor too small. Now the only question is when do we get a yellow gold version in necklace form with matching chain? 😁
