There is no place like home.
"I cannot understand why you should wish to leave this beautiful country and go back to the dry, gray place you call Kansas..'
'That is because you have no brains,' answered the girl. 'No matter how dreary and gray our homes are, we people of flesh and blood would rather live there than in any other country, be it ever so beautiful. There is no place like home.'" — L. Frank Baum, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
Home can look like many things. For Dorothy Gale, "home" looks like bleak prairies and a scorching, hot sun. But home also looks like her family's hard work and constant care, and a little, black dog always at her side, ready to make her laugh. After her wild and colorful journey through Oz, Dorothy and Toto end their story safe and loved, back where they belong. Home is calling you. Let yourself breathe, recharge, and rest. Your adventure will still be here when you're ready.
Follow that Yellow Road!
"Now, don't quarrel,' begged the Scarecrow. 'You are both charming and unusual, and if you follow that Yellow Road, you will come to the Emerald City...'" — Ruth Plumly Thompson, The Royal Book of Oz
After a cyclone twists Dorothy and Toto away to Oz, a road of yellow brick promises a bright and steady path to the answers they seek. Things are never so black and white (or yellow, for that matter): these bricks tangle our heroes up into exciting new friendships and winding misadventures that would leave anyone's rusty joints in need of some oil. This quest is a long one, but Dorothy is never alone. A journey awaits: your silver shoes are ready to take you.

Our Process
Shire Post Mint coins are struck one at a time in West Fork, Arkansas, USA using solid metals, hand-engraved designs, antique machinery and traditional coining techniques. For antiqued coins, the coloring/patina process is done by hand, and it is both an art and a science so coins will vary slightly. Our unique packaging includes a description of each coin and translations if applicable.
