Harrenhal the Black Coin

A coin salvaged after the Burning of Harrenhal

  • solid copper
  • Harren Hoare
  • stylized Harrenhal fortress
  • .8" (2 cm) diameter

This intricate coin was minted to celebrate the completion of the incredible fortress, Harrenhal. The largest castle in the Seven Kingdoms, it took 40 years to construct. Harren Hoare, King of the Isles and the Rivers, believed that the fortress could withstand any attack. Aegon I Targaryen began his Conquest of Westeros and the fortress fell shortly after under Balerion’s fire. It would later be known as the Burning of Harrenhal. This coin was found, blackened, in one of the deepest chambers after the Burning.

One of a kind coin!

I purchased this coin along with some gaming coins to use as a specialty token. It’s truly one of a kind and I’ve already gotten comments on it. Would definitely buy from Shire Post Mint again!

Fantastic design with a hint of soot!

Game of Thrones was my favorite show (until
the last season of course) and Moderne is my favorite design style. With the beautiful deco rendering of Harrenhal, this coin combines the two!

Gorgeous as always

A beautiful, deep lore piece to add to any collection. Looks almost like it was caught in the fires that claimed Harrenhal. Once again SPM knocks it out of the park.

Neat coin

I love all the detail to be found on such a small coin.
