Tommen II Lannister Silver Moon

$80.00 $105.00

King of the Rock

  • 24 grams (7/10 troy ounce) solid .999 silver.

  • 1.57 in (4 cm) diameter.

This pure silver Moon piece is from Casterly Rock, dating to the decades before Aegon I Targaryen united the warring kingdoms of Westeros. Tommen II Lannister was king of Casterly Rock, but was lost at sea during an ill-fated voyage of conquest. King Tommen II sailed with his great fleet to Valyria after the Doom with the intention of plundering the wealth and sorcery he was sure still remained. The last report of him is a Volantene chronicle titled The Glory of Volantis which mentions a “golden fleet” bearing the Lion King stayed at Volantis while the triarchs showered him with gifts and supplies. According to the chronicle, Tommen II swore that half of all he would find would be given to the triarchs in return for their generosity and the promise to send their fleet to his aid when he requested it. Afterward he sailed away and was never seen again. The Valyrian steel greatsword Brightroar was lost with him. This large coin features a crowned lion rampant of House Lannister on the obverse with a view of Casterly Rock and a crescent moon on the reverse. The Moon denomination is worth 7 silver Stags, with 30 Moons making up a Gold Dragon.

Coin design and engraving by Arion the Wanderer.

Tommen II Lannister Silver Moon

I like the coin, like all other Moon coins I purchased previously. I wonder how Tommen Lannister silver Moon design look like not Tommen II Lannister Silver Moon.

Tommen Moon

Very attractive coin. It's a great size nice and hefty. Feels and looks great in the hand. The design of casterly rock is fantastic and the lion is lovely.
