Hand of the Old Man
Minted near Isengard by Dunlending, followers of Saruman from Dunland. On the obverse is the tower of Isengard and a bird: a crow-like Crebain. Around the tower are the words “Yzan Gaarda”, referring to Isengard. Around the hand of Saruman, are the words “Hand of the Old Man” in the language of Dunlandish, transcribed in the writing script of Angerthas.

Our Process
Shire Post Mint coins are struck one at a time in West Fork, Arkansas, USA using solid metals, hand-engraved designs, antique machinery and traditional coining techniques. For antiqued coins, the coloring/patina process is done by hand, and it is both an art and a science so coins will vary slightly. Our unique packaging includes a description of each coin and translations if applicable.

Everything is moving toward digital and I don‘t like it. I listen to CD‘s, watch DVD‘s and read books… and pay in cash. I feel like I have fallen out of time. Good, that the dwarfs from the shire open up a realm where the weirdos like me can feel safe.
I love the coins, the whacky ideas and the packaging! When an envelope from the shirepost arrives, it calms my nerves for a short time.
Thinner than expected but probably one of the best coins so far. The designs on this has caught the eye of many of my friends. Definitely going to order more
A beautiful design wonderfully executed. I love all of my Tolkien coins from Shire Post. I hope they release a larger version in silver.
I like this one even better than the first coin I got with Saruman’s hand on it - the white aspect of it stands out even more on this one. Love it!
Workmanship is great, a little disappointed in diameter and thickness. Would work better in the same size as the iron coins
