Aries, the first sign in the Zodiac, is named for the ram constellation. Its representation is associated with Chrysomallos, child of the god Poseidon and the nymph Theophane, the flying ram with a golden fleece from Greek mythology. In Ancient Egyptian astronomy, this constellation was associated with Amun-Ra, god of both war and fertility.
People born from March 21st-April 19th are considered to have Aries as their ‘Sun sign’ - the part of an astrological chart that determines ego, identity, the character one plays in life.
The sign of Aries is ruled by the planet Mars and the element of fire. Those with this Sun sign are often thought of as especially passionate, dynamic and daring individuals!
