Gemini, the third sign in the Zodiac, is associated with the constellation, its Latin name meaning “twins”. In Greek mythology, the twins are the mythological duo of Castor and Pollux, the sons of the Spartan queen, Leda Castor’s father was the human king of Sparta, while Pollux was fathered by Zeus, who seduced Leda in the form of a swan. Upon Castor’s mortal death, Pollux begged Zeus to grant Castor immortality. Zeus obliged, and the twins are forever united in the Heavens.
People born from May 21st-June 20th are considered to have Gemini as their ‘Sun sign’ - the part of an astrological chart that determines ego, identity, the character one plays in life.
The sign of Gemini is ruled by the planet Mercury and the element of air. Those with this Sun sign are often thought of as especially clever, versatile and charismatic individuals!
