Ruby Inset Eyes Memento Mori Silver Necklace - Sterling Silver Bale

$357.00

There is a long history of Memento Mori reminders, including coins. We have added our own spin on the concept and included a new reverse side, “Memento Vivere” which translates to “remember that you have to live.” We believe there is a beautiful balance between accepting mortality and embracing life.

Memento mori (Latin: "Remember that you have to die.") is the medieval Latin Christian theory and practice of reflection on mortality. Especially as a means of considering the vanity of earthly life and the transient nature of all earthly goods and pursuits.

Memento vivere (Latin: "Remember you have to live.") Know that your time is short in the grand scheme of things. So have fun while you are here.

Honest review.

I absolutely love this pendant. Literal treasure. I feel like Bilbo Baggins everytime I look at it. The rubies, (Lab grown) beautiful. Technically more perfect than natural stones for those who dint know that but Those stones will catch ANY light and just glow and sparkle and depending what kind of light you're under will determine what color you get. Red, pink, sometimes purple. Honestly my favorite piece of jewelery.
The price though? eeehhh a bit high in my opinion especially if you get a bale and not even a necklace to go with it. The size was a bit intimidating because of how small it would be at first but when it arrived and I felt it in my hand that intimidation went away. I'll make sure to post pictures of it soon on my Instagram if anyone reading this wants to see it. - TheLastManlyMAN -
